Fulham have recalled David Stockdale from his loan at Hull City following an injury to back-up goalkeeper Neil Etheridge.
Stockdale joined the Tigers last month after failing to oust Mark Schwarzer as Fulham's first choice, and he kept two clean sheets in five Championship outings.
But Etheridge is believed to have suffered a leg injury while playing for Fulham's U21s against Manchester City on Monday, prompting manager Martin Jol to recall Stockdale as cover for Schwarzer.
A Fulham statement read: "The club can confirm that goalkeeper David Stockdale has been recalled from his loan spell at Hull City with immediate effect and will resume training with Fulham from Thursday 20th December.
"Stockdale made five appearance for the Tigers, helping them to earn 10 points and two clean sheets in the process."
Stockdale has been named in Fulham's squad for Saturday's trip to Liverpool, while Jol is expected to reveal details of Etheridge's injury later this week.
