Grayson moves for former Leeds man

Sky Sports understands Huddersfield are trying to sign Leicester striker Jermaine Beckford in a beat-the-deadline switch. Town are in the market for striking reinforcements after selling Jordan Rhodes to Championship rivals Blackburn. Beckford is thought to be among their top targets with Simon Grayson a big fan of the forward having worked with him during his time in charge of Leeds. Beckford only joined Leicester from Everton last summer, but the Foxes are thought to be willing to let him move on. The 28-year-old is down the pecking order at the King Power Stadium and he could be tempted by a move away in search of regular first-team action. Huddersfield are also weighing up moves for Queens Park Rangers' forward and Reading striker Simon Church as they look to add to their attacking options before the close of the window.
