Grayson to finally get his man
Skysports.com understands Leeds are closing in on the signing of Preston goalkeeper Andy Lonergan.
Leeds have been chasing the 27-year-old all summer as they look for a replacement for Kasper Schmeichel at Elland Road.
Everton have also expressed an interest in Lonergan, but the Toffees have been unable to agree a deal with Preston.
Preston are willing to sell Lonergan following their relegation to League One and Leeds are now in pole position to land the keeper.
Talks are thought to be at an advanced stage between both clubs, with Leeds hoping to tie up a deal in the next 24 hours as they look to make Lonergan their new No.1.
