Posh defender accepts he may need to leave in order to get games

Peterborough defender Scott Griffiths insists that he does not know where he will be playing next season, as the club adapt to life in the Championship. The former Dagenham & Redbridge full-back was forced to go out on loan in search of regular football last season, helping Chesterfield seal the League Two title. With a host of new signings expected at London Road this summer, the 25-year-old admits he is desperate to play regularly next season and is willing to leave the club in order to fulfil that ambition. "I'm not entirely sure what is going on at the moment, but there have been a few rumours cropping up recently that I am going to go out on loan again," Griffiths told skysports.com. "I haven't had a chance to sit down and talk with the manager about it yet, but I'm sure that we will do before the season starts.

Experience

"I played around 25 games last time I was in the Championship with Peterborough, during the season before last, and it was a great experience that I'd love to do again. "I'd love to get back into the Championship again, whether it be with Peterborough or another club, but I need to be playing games really. "I'm not feeling overly involved this summer, but it is still early days in pre-season and we are all just concentrating on getting fit at the moment. "I've just got to take it as it comes and continue working hard to get myself in the best condition for the new season, whether it is for Peterborough or elsewhere."
