Iron boss fears rivals for loan star
Scunthorpe boss Ian Baraclough admits they are unlikely to sign on-loan striker Joe Garner on a permanent deal.
Garner has impressed for Scunthorpe since arriving on loan from Nottingham Forest, scoring four goals in eight games.
Baraclough says he would love to sign Garner on a permanent basis, but fears his form at Glanford Park could alert other clubs to make a move for his signature.
"The likelihood of him being here on a permanent deal is minimal," said Baraclough.
"If there was any possibility at all of us being able to sign him I would not shy away from it.
"[A permanent move] is nothing that has been mentioned at this moment in time, Joe is a Nottingham Forest player and he's here on loan." Baraclough added.
"I think there's a lot of clubs which, having seen what Joe can do and how he's performed, would be interested."
