Veteran Portuguese shot-stopper joins until rest of season
Leicester City have confirmed the signing of former Portugal goalkeeper Ricardo until the end of the season.
The 34-year-old shot-stopper has agreed a short-term contract at the Walkers Stadium after a trial with the Championship club.
Foxes manager Sven-Goran Eriksson told the club's official website: "I am delighted we've been able to secure Ricardo on a permanent contract.
"He has impressed during his time at the club and brings extra competition to our goalkeeping department.
"Ricardo is an excellent shot-stopper with agility and he plays with great confidence. He has played at the highest level and will be a great addition to our squad."
The former Real Betis custodian will not be eligible for the Championship clash against Sheffield United at Bramall Lane on Tuesday night.
