Simon Grayson has confirmed Leeds will not be extending Amdy Faye's contract while Patrick Kisnorbo has returned to Thorp Arch. Faye joined The Whites on a short-term contract in September as Grayson attempted to provide some much-needed protection for his backline. The 33-year-old Senegalese midfielder made an early impression at Elland Road, but he has found himself on the periphery of the first team of late. With opportunities at Leeds limited Grayson has decided it would be best served for the defensive midfielder to seek employment elsewhere. "We've agreed with Amdy that his contract won't be extended," he told the club's official website. "He really needs to play more games than he's been able to while he's been here, and opportunities have been limited for him. "His experience around the team and the training ground has helped us, and we wish him well for the future."

Meanwhile, Grayson has expressed his delight at long-term injury victim Kisnorbo returning to the club's training ground to continue his rehabilitation. The Australian stopper has not played for 10 months for Leeds since suffering an Achilles injury in their home League One defeat to Millwall. "Paddy's been in America, but he's back with us now to continue his rehab," he continued. "We have never put any timescale on him, but it's good to have him back around everyone and we're delighted he's here. "He's a big character to have around the place."
