Leicester City boss Sven Goran Eriksson is considering a bid for FC Twente striker Bernard Parker.

Eriksson wants to know how much striker would cost

Leicester City manager Sven Goran Eriksson is considering a bid for Bernard Parker after the FC Twente striker impressed on trial. Parker has been training with the Foxes this week, but returned to Holland ahead of Twente's game against Heracles Almelo on Friday, which was eventually postponed due to bad weather. The South Africa international scored for the reserves against Aston Villa and Eriksson is keen to discover how much the 24-year-old would cost. Eriksson will also delve into Parker's contractual situation amid claims Fifa is still investigating a dispute following his move to Twente from Red Star Belgrade.

Very interesting

"Bernard Parker did very well in the reserve game," Eriksson told the Leicester Mercury. "He has gone back to FC Twente. But it is very interesting because he is a good player. "I have seen him play for Twente and in South Africa, and for the national team, so I knew before he was a good player. I want to know what the price is because I don't know that yet, but he is good. We will see but I am not sure 100 per cent. "I am not sure about the contract problem but I have heard about it. I will find out." Eriksson also offered an update on Nigerian trialists Paul Obiefule and Danny Uchechi, who have also been on trial with Leicester. He added: "They are both good football players, no doubt about that. Paul Obiefule is a central midfield player who plays in Norway, but a central midfielder is perhaps not what we are looking for. We are very well covered there. "The other, Danny Uchechi, is a winger, and he is very interesting. They will not train with us this week and we will decide next week what we are going to do."
