On-loan midfielder fit again after back injury

On-loan midfielder Kevin McDonald is in line to make his Scunthorpe United debut at Hull City this weekend. McDonald joined the Iron from Burnley in mid-October, but has been unable to play for Ian Baraclough's side due to a back injury. He suffered the problem in his first training session with Scunthorpe and has been receiving treatment back at Burnley. However, he has now returned to Glanford Park and could come into contention for Saturday's Championship encounter at rivals Hull. David Mirfin (foot), Martyn Woolford (groin) and Sam Togwell (leg) all sat out training on Monday, so McDonald's return would serve as a major boost for Baraclough.
