Ferguson hopes to tie up permanent deal for on-loan striker
Preston North End manager Darren Ferguson will continue to press ahead with his attempts to sign Iain Hume on a permanent basis.
Hume has scored twice in six appearances since the Canadian striker moved to Deepdale on a three-month loan from Barnsley in September.
Talks have already taken place regarding a permanent arrangement for Hume and Ferguson is keen to keep the 26-year-old in his squad.
"We keep saying it after every game, the boy's a good player," said Ferguson.
"He gives you energy and a threat. He is a nuisance to play against and we are trying to get the deal done.
"The chairman tried to do the deal yesterday (Wednesday), so we will keep persevering with it."
