Ipswich Town defender David Wright remains hopeful of being offered a new contract, but Ben Thatcher has left Portman Road.
Wright's current deal at Ipswich expires at the end of the season and he is keen to stay with Roy Keane's side.
The 29-year-old has made in excess of 100 appearances since joining Town from Wigan Athletic in January 2007 and is waiting to see if he is wanted by Keane.
"I'd love to be offered a new contract," Wright told the
East Anglian Daily Times.
"I love playing for this club and it would be great if I could have a few more years here.
"It's up to the manager whether I stay and hopefully if I work hard I'll get what I deserve."
Thatcher exit
Meanwhile, veteran defender Thatcher's contract has been cancelled by mutual consent after he failed to make a first-team appearance this season.
Thatcher, 34, told the club's
official website: "I want to wish the club the very best for the future.
"They are a great set of lads in the dressing room and I want to see them climb the table over the rest of the season.
"I want to carry on playing and definitely feel I can do a job on the pitch for another year or two and then I might look at coaching."
