Buddies striker hoping for Ibrox success

St Mirren striker Billy Mehmet is hoping they can upset Rangers in their Scottish Cup replay on Tuesday. The sides drew 0-0 earlier in this month in an uneventful fifth-round cup clash at St Mirren Park. The replay takes place at Ibrox on Tuesday and Mehmet knows his team-mates are coming up against a form side. The Buddies have been leaking goals early on of late and Mehmet believes they have a chance if they avoid gifting the hosts an opener.

Normal game

"We've just to go there and play the way that we know we can," he told Sky Sports News. "Hopefully we can cause an upset, but it's going to be a tough ask going to Ibrox with Rangers in form. "The last three or four games I think apart from the last game we played in the cup we've conceded early goals. "If we can shut them out early doors hopefully we can nick something."
