Darryl Flahavan and Lee Hills are set to speak to Oldham about joining the League One club on loan.
Goalkeeper Flahavan is behind Julian Speroni in the pecking order at Crystal Palace and young left-back Hills is currently being kept out of the first team by Clint Hill.
Neil Warnock believes both players would benefit from a short spell with the Latics.
"Lee and Darryl are on their way to speak to Oldham," said the Palace manager.
"We see this as a perfect opportunity for both players to get much-needed game time and there is no better way of doing that than to play regular first-team football."
