Defender struggling with hamstring injury

Scunthorpe manager Nigel Adkins is worried that Rob Jones could face a spell on the sidelines. The defender, who moved to Glanford Park from Hibernian over the summer, limped off during the Iron's 2-1 defeat at Plymouth with a hamstring injury. He is now set to miss Scunthorpe's clash with Sheffield United next week and Adkins fears the problem could hamper him in future games. "Rob is the biggest injury concern that we've got at the moment," Adkins told the Scunthorpe Telegraph. "Potentially his hamstring injury could give us a problem for our next games against Sheffield United, Newcastle United - and even the Peterborough game. "It looks touch and go at the moment and we will have to monitor how he goes next week."
