Defender steps down into the Championship

Preston North End have completed a loan swoop for Wolves centre-half Neill Collins. The Scot has penned a deal which is initially set to run until 4th January, with the view to making the move permanent in the New Year. Collins joined Wolves in 2007 but has slipped down the pecking order at Molineux in recent times. He has also turned out for Queens Park Rangers, Dumbarton and Sunderland during his career. The 25-year-old has never featured in the Premier League, despite being on the books of Sunderland and Wolves in the top flight, but has plenty of prior experience of life in the second tier.
