Dons homecoming for former favourite

Jason Puncheon has re-joined MK Dons on a season-long loan from Plymouth. The popular winger was a member of the original Wimbledon squad at just 17, making 42 appearances before signing for Barnet in 2006. In 2008 he joined Plymouth for £250,000 but only made a handful of first-team starts before coming back to the Dons at the beginning of last season on a loan deal that was set to last only until December. This, however, was extended and Puncheon stayed at the club for the remainder of the season, making a total of 29 appearances. Dons manager Paul Ince told the club's official website: "Once we found out Jason wanted to come back here, me and the chairman (Pete Winkelman) have been working hard behind the scenes to make it happen. "There were other clubs in for Jason but he wanted to come and play for Milton Keynes Dons and that just shows what type of lad he is. "If we can get him playing well he's a top quality player, he's got bundles of ability and he's the type of player we need at this club to take it forward."
