Striker delighted to make Palace move

Crystal Palace have moved quickly to sign Stern John following his departure from Southampton. The Trinidad and Tobago international rejected the offer of a new deal at St Mary's earlier this week and has now joined Palace on a one-year contract. He is now determined to make an impact for his new club, who face Plymouth in their season opener on 8th August. "I'm delighted to have signed for Crystal Palace," the 32-year-old striker told the Trinidad and Tobago Football Federation's official website. "It's a new challenge for me and one that I'm definitely looking forward to." John has spent a decade in English football and counts Nottingham Forest, Birmingham, Coventry, Derby, Sunderland and Bristol City among his former clubs.
