Jordi Lopez is keen to follow former manager Paulo Sousa to Swansea according to his agent.

Agent claims that Spaniard wants a move to Swansea

Jordi Lopez's agent Alex Bonnot has revealed that the player would be interested in following Paulo Sousa to Swansea. The midfielder was signed by Sousa when he was in charge of QPR last season but is out of contract after his three-month deal at Loftus Road expired. Despite working under the Portuguese boss for just under two months Lopez is keen to work with the UEFA Champions League winner again. The Spaniard, a Uefa Cup winner himself with Sevilla in 2006, has already held preliminary talks with the Swans and is awaiting an official approach from the club. "Jordi was put in a difficult position last season, then we had the opportunity for him to be back in the shop window at QPR," Bonnot said.

Good relationship

"That was through Palo Sousa. They had a very good relationship even though they were there for only a short period. "They got on very well and they had a good understanding on the football side. For a manager and a player that's very important. "When Paulo got the job at Swansea he got in touch with us and said he would like Jordi to come there. "We were talking to other clubs, but Jordi was always waiting to see what would happen with Paulo. "Jordi admires Palo as a manager and Paulo admires Jordi as a player."
