City striker wanted by Ankaragucu
Darius Vassell has travelled to Turkey to hold talks with Ankaragucu over a prospective move to the Super Lig side.
The former England international appears to have no future at Manchester City with manager Mark Hughes linked with a host of big-name signings.
Roque Santa Cruz has already been added to a squad which boasts Craig Bellamy and Robinho, while Samuel Eto'o and Carlos Tevez are further targets.
The 29-year-old Vassell, who moved to City from Aston Villa in July 2005 for £2million, has flown out to the Turkish capital for further discussions.
Decision
Ankaragucu chairman Cengiz Topel Yildirim told Turkish radio station Radyospor: "We've completed the pre-negotiations with Darius Vassell.
"We aim to secure a big signing as this year is our centenary.
"He [Vassell] will visit the city and our installations. Then he will make a decision.
"I hope we can include him in our squad."
