Tykes keeper vows to quit club if he is dropped to the bench again

Barnsley goalkeeper Luke Steele has threatened to quit the club if he loses his place in the side again. The former Manchester United youngster signed a permanent deal at Oakwell last summer after impressing in the run to the FA Cup semi-finals while on loan from West Brom. The 24-year-old will mostly be remembered for his outstanding performance in helping the Tykes overcome Liverpool at Anfield on their way to the last four. But after starting the first seven games of the season, Steele lost his place to Heinz Muller and only won it back on Saturday for the 0-0 draw at Reading. "Last season was brilliant for me. But I feel wasted," he told the Daily Mail. "This year I just had seven games at the start of the season and I've not had a look-in since. "Being on the bench means nothing to me. I don't want to play second fiddle, I want to go to a club where I can be a No.1."
