On-loan Brighton defender Gary Borrowdale has returned to QPR for treatment on a knee injury.

Full-back likely to be out for three weeks with knee injury

On-loan Brighton & Hove Albion defender Gary Borrowdale has returned to Queens Park Rangers for treatment on a knee injury. Borrowdale joined League One strugglers Brighton last week and is due to stay at the Withdean Stadium until the end of the season. The full-back made his debut in last weekend's defeat at Leyton Orient before suffering a knee injury in Tuesday's 3-1 loss against Southend United. He was replaced during the second half of the game and has now gone back to his parent club to have treatment on the problem. Brighton expect Borrowdale to be out for up to three weeks and it could be early April before he is ready to return to new manager Russell Slade's squad.
