City Ground skipper signs two-and-a-half-year contract

Nottingham Forest midfielder James Perch has signed a new two-and-a-half-year contract at the City Ground. The 23-year-old has captained Forest in their last seven games and has now earned fresh terms with the Championship strugglers. Perch is tied to Forest until the summer of 2011 and he is looking forward to playing a part in the plans of manager Billy Davies, who took over in January. "I was coming towards the end of my contract and I'm delighted everything has been sorted," Perch told the club's official website. "I always knew Forest wanted to keep me and that I was going to stay if they offered me something. "It was just a case of getting my head down and waiting for the club to make me an offer. "Billy Davies is an ambitious man and wants to take Forest into the Premier League and I want to be a part of it. I know I've made the right decision and couldn't be happier."
