Mowbray confirms injured defender will not return this campaign

West Bromwich Albion have revealed that Neil Clement will remain sidelined for the remainder of the season. The 30-year-old defender underwent knee surgery in September and was expected to return to action in the second half of the campaign. However, Baggies manager Tony Mowbray has confirmed he will not make his comeback until next summer. "I think Clem's recovery is on schedule," said Mowbray on the club's official website. "We're not anticipating seeing him this season. The specialist who saw him last week is positive. "Hopefully his rehabilitation will run smoothly and he'll be doing pre-season with everyone else." Meanwhile, Filipe Teixeira is expected to return to training this week after recently struggling with a calf problem.
