Celtic and Birmingham are battling it out for Derry City winger Niall McGinn, skysports.com understands
MCGinn is rated as one of the hottest prospects in Irish football and was named PFAI Young Player of the Year award last month.
The exciting winger is now ready to try his luck at a higher level and a number of clubs have expressed an interest in signing the 21-year-old.
Swansea have seen a couple of bids rebuffed by Derry for the Northern Ireland and now Celtic and Birmingham have enterted the race for McGinn's signature.
Both clubs are believed to have held talks with McGinn's representative and the player is now deciding on what offer to take.
Celtic are believed to be favourites for McGinn's signature, but Birmingham are hoping to lure him to St Andrews.
McGinn is expected to make a decision on his future this weekend and a move is set to be completed early next week.
