League One club not looking to increase midfield options

Crewe Alexandra have ruled out a bid to re-sign Kenny Lunt on loan from Sheffield Wednesday. Lunt originally left Crewe for the Owls in 2006, but made 14 appearances on loan at Gresty Road last season. The midfielder has been linked with another return to his first club when the loan window for Football League teams opens next week. Owls boss Brian Laws is ready to allow Lunt to leave Hillsborough again, but Crewe assistant manager Neil Baker says the League One club are not planning a bid. "We've not got any plans to bring anyone into midfield at the moment," Baker told the Sentinel. "Although Kenny could play in a wider position, we're all right there and in the centre we've seen James Bailey come in and do very well for us in the games so far. "But it is fair to say we will look at loan signings once we are cleared to make them."
