Talented teenager opts for London Road

Highly-rated midfielder Dominic Green has opted to join Peterborough from Dagenham & Redbridge. A host of clubs have been chasing the 19-year-old this summer, with Posh emerging victorious. Dagenham have never wavered from a policy which dictates young talent should be given the best possible opportunity to prosper. As such, they have accepted an undisclosed fee which they feel is realistic for a player with limited first-team experience. "I wish Dominic every success in his future and thank him for the time he has spent at Dagenham & Redbridge," Daggers boss John Still told the club's official website.

Potential

Meanwhile, Peterborough manager Darren Ferguson was delighted to see the talented teenager put pen to paper on a four-year deal at London Road. "He is a quick left-winger and we have done very well to get him because it looked like he was on his way to Huddersfield Town," Ferguson told the club's official website. "Crystal Palace were in for him too so I managed to get him to the club and convinced him that this was the place to be. "I am delighted with the signing because it is gives us good options in all positions and maybe an overload of wingers. It is along our policy of signing young, hungry players and I believe the lad has real potential. "It says a lot for how far we have come as a football club to be beating off competition from two Championship clubs and Huddersfield Town."
