Matt Lawrence has signed a new deal at Crystal Palace.
The 34-year-old's existing contract was due to expire next summer, but the club have moved to keep him at Selhurst Park until 2010.
The former Millwall defender admitted talks over the new deal were fairly straightforward.
"The discussions were very straightforward and there were no arguments or negotiations," Lawrence told the South London Press.
"I'm more than fit enough to have another two years at this level.
"My agent just looked over the contract to check everything was in place and it was signed, simple as that."
