Tigers manager disappointed to lose West Brom defender

Hull City boss Phil Brown acknowledged his disappointment after Neil Clement was recalled by West Bromwich Albion. Clement had made five appearances for the Tigers since joining the promotion hopefuls on loan until the end of the season. However, an injury to Leon Barnett has prompted West Brom to activate a recall clause in the deal, leaving Brown in wistful mood. "West Brom have recalled Neil and that's unfortunate for us," Brown told the club's official website. "We signed him on loan until the end of the season, but after the first 28 days they had the recall option. "We couldn't get rid of that clause in the contract and perhaps with us going ahead of West Brom in the Championship, they've decided it was time to call him back. "If the shoe was on the other foot, I'd have done exactly the same."
