Young forward agrees one-year extension as Glanford Park

Scunthorpe forward Peter Winn has agreed a one-year contract extension at Glanford Park. The 19-year-old is now tied to Scunthorpe until 2009 and there is an option which could see Winn stay with the Iron for one additional year. Winn has made one first-team appearance for Scunthorpe this season as he came off the bench in the 5-0 away defeat to West Brom in December. Scunthorpe manager Nigel Adkins, though, has seen enough talent in Winn to offer an extended deal. Winn has impressed in Scunthorpe's reserve side this season where he has scored five goals.
