Colchester midfielder Kemal Izzet has signed a new deal at the club.
The 27-year-old has been in talks over a contract extension for some time and he has now finally put pen-to-paper.
Izzet was delighted to resolve his future at the Championship strugglers.
"We've been talking for about three or four months now and I'm glad to get it done," Izzet told the club's official website:
"I can now concentrate on my football and do my bit to keep the team in this division.
"It will be a big thing for us to stay in the Championship and everyone is pulling in the same direction."
