Millwall boss Kenny Jackett has completed the £150,000 signing of striker Lewis Grabban from Crystal Palace on a three-and-a-half year contract.
The Lions boss has moved quickly to strengthen his squad after the departure of Ben May to Scunthorpe last week left him with just three senior strikers.
Grabban spent an unsuccessful three-month loan spell at SPL side Motherwell earlier in the campaign and had made just three substitute appearances for the Eagles whilst at Selhurst Park this season.
The youngster will go straight into the squad for Wednesday's League One game with Nottingham Forest and will also be available for Saturday's FA Cup fourth round clash with Coventry as he did not appear in the competition for Palace.
Boost numbers
Jackett is hoping that Grabban's arrival will be the first of a number of new signings during the current transfer window as he continues in his attempts to add numbers to his depleted squad.
However, despite admitting that he is in the market for players, the Lions boss revealed that he is only really interested in bringing players in on a permanent basis and would like to avoid any loan deals if at all possible.
"My first option is trying to bring players in on permanent deals," he said.
"But if I need to bring in people on loan deals to cover for injury or loss of form I won't hesitate to do it."
