Ritchie delight at keeping striker

Huddersfield Town have secured the loan extension of Bristol City striker Phil Jevons. Terriers boss Andy Ritchie has been anxious to hang on to Jevons, who has scored three goals in six appearances since joining the club. Ritchie has now agreed an extension with the Robins to keep the forward in his League One squad until 19th January. "I'm very pleased - we desperately need him here over the Christmas period to give us another option up front," Ritchie told the club's official website. "It's great that we have him here on loan and hopefully we can do something more permanent when the transfer window re-opens. "He's done very well for us so far and once he gets fully match-fit, he'll get even better. I'm pleased that we've managed to secure him again. "The board have been great and have backed me to the hilt. As I've said, I'm well over budget now, but there's been no pressure on me and hopefully we will continue to reap the rewards."
