Gyepes gets Loftus Road trial

Queens Park Rangers have taken former Wolves ace Gabor Gyepes on trial. The 26-year-old was freed by Wolves at the end of last season as he recovered from knee surgery. Gyepes has been training with former club Ferencvaros - but he is keen to seal a return to English football and has now joined QPR on trial. It is believed that Akos Buzsaky, who recently joined QPR from Plymouth, has recommended his fellow countryman to his boss at Loftus Road.

Ambition

"I have offers from Hungary but we agreed about it with my agent that I should come back onto the pitch abroad," Gyepes told Nemzeti Sport. "My aim is to sign in England - I had my surgery there, I played there and at last but not at least they know me there. "I want to play and remain healthy - without any injury - as long as I can."

Departure

Meanwhile, the club have confirmed the departure of goalkeeping coach Ed de Goey. De Goey was brought to the club by former manager John Gregory but he has now left as boss Luigi De Canio reshapes his backroom staff.
