Goalkeeper suffers slight knee ligament damage

Ligue 1 side Nice have been boosted with the news that goalkeeper Hugo Lloris will not require surgery. The talented shot-stopper had reported to medical staff that he was suffering with a pain in his knee. Nice officials sent the 20-year-old for an MRI scan, and results revealed that there was only slight ligament damage. Lloris is likely to resume light training in around seven days, and should return to first-team action in a month. Meanwhile, Nice have confirmed that forward Habib Bamogo will miss the weekend clash against St Etienne with a thigh injury. The 25-year-old underwent an MRI scan after straining a muscle in his thigh, and reports suggest that he will be sidelined for a week.
