Inter ace set for Upton Park

Reports in Italy claim West Ham have completed the signing of Luis Jimenez on a season-long loan deal. The Chilean rarely featured under Jose Mourinho at Inter Milan last season, making just six appearances in Serie A. Understandably frustrated by a lack of opportunities, the South American star is hoping to resurrect his career in England. The former Fiorentina ace is believed to have already been granted a work permit, helping to speed up the transfer process. The Hammers are also reported to have an option to buy Jimenez outright next summer should they wish to do so. The 25-year-old has played in Italy since 2002, taking in spells at Ternana, Fiorentina, Lazio and Inter, but appears destined to be plying his trade in the Premier League next term. "Everything is in place. Luis will play next season in England," Jimenez's agent Rocco Dozzini told CM.
