SONG: LENS ARE HOT, WEST HAM ARE NOT

WEST HAM'S Rigobert Song has revealed that he is in talks with Lens over a proposed move to the French side.

The 25-year-old Cameroonian international has confirmed that he is set to move to Lens, less than a year after transferring to Upton Park from Liverpool.

Song confirmed that talks are underway with the unbeaten Championnat side, commenting: "We have discussed details, but nothing is yet finalised.

"The contacts are very hot. The Lens management have been good with me, Joel Muller I know from my time at Metz and Patrice Bergues I also know well from Liverpool.

"They make me feel wanted and that gives me pleasure, I think that an agreement will be reached soon.

"Talks began before the Confederations Cup in June, and since then things have gone well, but a contract is yet to be agreed.

"I would like to play again in the French championship."

Song, however, revealed that West Ham were holding up the move as they could not agree a fee with Lens.

"They are precisely the problem, they are not very hot, but I have no doubt that a solution will come.

"Lens and West Ham are continuing to talk at this moment, there is little time left but hopefully something should happen."
