Matuidi claims Addicks interest

Troyes midfielder Blaise Matuidi claims he could be set for a move to Charlton.

Troyes midfielder Blaise Matuidi claims he could be set for a move to Charlton.

The France Under-19 international has suggested that Charlton are lining up a move for him.

Matuidi revealed that Charlton have watched him in action on several occasions and could move for him before the close of the transfer window next week.

"I am in contact with Charlton. They have come to watch me many times," Matuidi told the News of the World.

"I don't know if Troyes will sell me now, but they will probably sell me in the summer."

Meanwhile, Charlton boss Alan Curbishley has admitted he is willing to let the likes of Kevin Lisbie, Jonatan Johansson and Francis Jeffers move on.

All three players are well down the pecking order at The Valley and Curbishley believes it may be best for all involved if they leave.

"For a variety of reasons they haven't been playing regularly so it's time to see if they can get a loan move and get back in the swing of things," said Curbishley.
