Romm aims high for Addicks

Charlton wide man Dennis Rommedahl believes the club should be aiming for Europe.

Charlton wide man Dennis Rommedahl believes the club should be aiming for a European place after getting over a shaky start to the new campaign.

The pacey Dane, who like Charlton has picked up his form, is confident The Valley could be hosting European football next season.

Charlton play Southampton on Sunday, with Rommedahl encouraged by the current form showed by his team-mates.

''Europe is a possibility, definitely,'' said Rommedahl. ''Last year the club just missed out.

''With the players we have brought in, why not? Anything is possible.

''All we need is a bit of luck. That's all. At the moment, we are doing well. Everything is always easier when you are winning.

''The confidence is rising and and we are playing with the same team, which I think is important.

''When you play together for a period of time, you get used to each other and you get better.

''This is very important.''
