Addicks boss Alan Curbishley opted not to extend the injury-plagued winger`s contract, and Blomqvist has now confirmed he may decide bring down the curtain on his foreign adventure after seven years away from home soil.
"I have reconsidered when it comes to the future," he told Sportbladet. "To continue playing abroad is no longer the first priority."
The former Parma and Manchester United ace is not considering retirement, as he added: "I really want to play again. The Allsvenska is clearly a truly interesting alternative."
It would seem that Djurgardens and IFK Gothenburg are vying for his services.
Blomqvist is attracted by the prospect of playing for his former club, IFK, but is not going to make a rush decision.
He added: "I know that IFK Gothenburg are interested, that is already known and there is an interest from my part to play for IFK again.
"But there are other clubs too, for example in Stockholm. Right now, I am thinking about it."
Being sidelined for long spells due to injury has clearly reignited his desire for the game.
He added: "I am really keen on football again. I am looking for a new challenge."
The 29-year-old has purchased some property in Croatia, but is not looking to kick-start his career there.
Blomqvist added: "At the end of July, I shall go to Croatia for a few weeks. I have bought a little cottage by the sea. But I am not considering moving there right now. Not now, in any case."
