Striker hoping Southampton and Notts County win promotion
On-loan Notts County striker Jonathan Forte is unsure of his long-term future, but admits he has a big incentive to return to Southampton.
Forte joined the Magpies in January after struggling to secure regular first-team football at Southampton since his 2011 move from Scunthorpe United.
He scored a hat-trick in Saturday's impressive 4-2 win at League One leaders Charlton Athletic to take his tally to five goals for Keith Curle's side.
The 25-year-old is keen to help the Magpies' push for promotion, but is not giving up on impressing back at St Mary's as Southampton press for a place in the Premier League.
"It's been a great day but I don't know what will happen with me," said Forte.
"I've still got two years left on a contract at Southampton and it's a massive club.
"What an incentive for me to get back there for Premier League football. But I can see County also going up if the lads keep playing like this. They are fantastic."
