Defender enjoyed loan spell at Elland Road

Preston North End defender Neill Collins is keen to secure a permanent deal at Leeds United following his successful loan spell at Elland Road. Collins made nine appearances for the Whites after joining on loan in March and played his part in helping the club win promotion to the Championship. He is now back at Preston but, despite being under contract until 2013, has been told by manager Darren Ferguson that he can leave Deepdale over the summer. The 26-year-old is waiting to hold talks with Leeds boss Simon Grayson and is optimistic he will be able to rejoin the club. "Hopefully we are not far away from something happening," said Collins. "My agent will speak with Simon Grayson and we will find out where things lie. "The good thing is Preston are looking to sell me. As long as it happens I will be happy. "I know I am on the transfer list and I am looking to move on. I had a great time at Leeds. I loved it and fell in love with the club and want more of it."
