Striker injury gives Blades boss a fresh headache

Sheffield United boss Kevin Blackwell fears striker Darius Henderson could be facing a lengthy spell on the sidelines. The striker twisted his knee in a freak training ground incident that looks set to keep him out of action for up to six months. Blackwell fears the worst, but is crossing his fingers until scans on the injury come back within the next 24 hours.

Ligaments

"Darius has done his ligaments," Blackwell told the Sheffield Star. "At least that's what we think. "I just hope, please God, it's not as bad as it looks. He went to turn, his boot got stuck in the turf, and he went the other way. "Darius went for some tests before the game and we're due to find out exactly what's wrong within 24 hours."
