Everton defender a fitness doubt ahead of Georgia clash

Scotland assistant manager Roy Aitken admits he harbours real concerns over the fitness of Gary Naysmith ahead of Wednesday's Euro 2008 qualifier against Georgia. The Sheffield United full-back is labouring somewhat with a hamstring injury but was able to complete Saturday's impressive 3-1 victory over Ukraine. Scotland are already without both Alan Hutton and the influential Scott Brown, and now Aitken has conceded they will likely have to nurse Naysmith through the midweek action. "He'll be assessed in the next couple of days," he told the Daily Mirror. "He had a hamstring problem prior to coming to us. "I thought he did well to come through the game at the weekend, but we'll look at him again tomorrow."
