Mikele targets Bolton trip

Mikele Leigertwood is hoping to return to the Sheff Utd team against Bolton.

Mikele Leigertwood is hoping to return to the Sheffield United team against Bolton Wanderers next weekend.

The midfielder has not played since injuring his ankle in the 1-0 home win over Arsenal at the end of December.

He has been steadily returning to fitness and has been building up his sharpness in the reserves in recent weeks.

Leigertwood now feels he is in a condition to be available for The Blades' trip to The Reebok Stadium on 31st March.

"It has been a bit of a rough time, but I've been working on my fitness recently and I feel good," Leigertwood told the club's official website.

"I've played two-and-a-half reserve games in the last couple of weeks and I've had no problems, apart from a slight kick in the last match.

"I've been doing extra training and there's a reserve game next week against Newcastle that I could be involved in.

"I'd like to think I will be fit enough to play against Bolton, should I be required."
