Sheffield Wednesday have agreed a deal to sign Wigan youngster Ryan Meadows, Sky Sports understands.
Meadows, who came through the ranks at Wigan, only signed a pro deal with the club last year after impressing for the club's youth side.
The 19-year-old failed to break into Uwe Rosler's first-team plans at the DW Stadium and has decided to move on.
A number of clubs are thought to have expressed an interest in Meadows, but Wednesday have won the race for his signature.
Meadows is thought to have agreed a one-year deal at Hillsborough as he looks to break into Stuart Gray's first team at Wednesday.
