Midfielder undergoing medical at Tottenham

Fulham have accepted a bid from Premier League rivals Tottenham Hotspur for star midfielder Moussa Dembele. The Belgian was left out of Martin Jol's squad for Tuesday night's shock Capital One Cup defeat at Sheffield Wednesday, as he is undergoing a medical with Spurs. And after the second-round upset at Hillsborough it was announced Fulham have agreed a fee with Tottenham for the sale of Dembele. The 25-year-old has made an excellent impact at Craven Cottage since arriving from AZ Alkmaar in the summer of 2010 in a £5million deal and his value has reportedly doubled.

Struggle

Having confirmed the Dembele news, Jol, who at the weekend saw his side lose narrowly at Manchester United, also admitted his frustration at the defeat to Wednesday after making only minimal changes to his team. "We made five changes but we had enough to cause them problems so it was disappointing," he said. "We mixed it around a little but we struggled to get going in the first half. "Then we lost the goal and we stepped up towards the end but we just didn't have enough."
