Dnipro reject offer for Ghanaian midfielder

Sky Sports understands that Fulham have seen an offer for Dnipro midfielder Derek Boateng knocked back. The Cottagers have been linked with the Ghana international in the past, along with Premier League rivals West Brom. They are believed to have made an approach this summer, but have failed to reach an agreement. Boateng would appear to be on his way out of Dnipro in the near future, with coach Juande Ramos confirming that the player no longer wishes to be part of his plans. A switch to the Premier League would appeal to a player who has previously turned in Greece, Germany and Spain. He moved to Ukraine in 2011 but feels the time is right to take on a new challenge. Boateng would be a useful asset to any English side as he is capable of operating at centre-half or as a holding midfielder.
