Highly-rated midfielder joins Rovers on short-term deal

Bristol Rovers have landed Fulham midfielder Wayne Brown on a one-month loan deal. Brown has already enjoyed spells with Brentford and Finnish side Turun Palloseura after coming through the youth ranks at Craven Cottage and returns to League One to gain more first-team experience. The 21-year-old London-born player has earned rave reviews from Fulham reserve manager Billy McKinlay and he will get chance to demonstrate his qualities at the Memorial Stadium. Brown, who ironically made his only Fulham appearance against Rovers in the FA Cup in 2008, goes straight into Paul Trollope's squad for the Pirates' match against Leyton Orient at Brisbane Road on Tuesday night.
