Fulham striker Andy Johnson is set to be sidelined for up to eight weeks with a dislocated shoulder.
Johnson scored the opener in Fulham's 3-1 Europa League victory over Amkar Perm on Wednesday but his evening ended in disappointing fashion.
He was knocked to the ground by a body-check from Dmitry Belorukov midway through the second half and was in obvious discomfort as he rose to his feet.
The former Everton man prodded at his shoulder and left the pitch with his arm dangling to be replaced by Erik Nevland.
Fulham boss Roy Hodgson afterwards confirmed Johnson had suffered a dislocated shoulder and the striker is not now expected to return to action until October.
The news will come as a major blow to Hodgson as Fulham prepare for a crucial period in the Premier league.
They also look set to qualify for the group phase of the Europa League if they can defend their two-goal lead in Russia next week.
