Monaco striker still waiting on Nurnberg switch

Jan Koller's proposed move to Nurnberg remains in the balance, although the Monaco striker will not be joining Fulham. The veteran Czech Republic international has been linked with a transfer window switch to Premier League strugglers Fulham. New Cottagers boss Roy Hodgson is aiming to add to his squad and was reportedly keen on recruiting Koller. But the imposing forward's agent Pavel Paska has confirmed that a move to England is not on the player's agenda.

Ruled out

"England is ruled out," Paska told Idnes. "He will go to Germany or he will stay in Monaco." Nurnberg have been locked in negotiations with Monaco in a bid to push through a deal for Koller, who is out of contract at the end of the season. The German club's director of sport Martin Bader insisted on Thursday that a decision must be reached by the weekend. The sticking point appears to be the fee Monaco are demanding, although Paska feels the deal could still be concluded. Paska added: "The clubs are still negotiating."
